White-faced Heron

Hats off to any heron who can live in Sydney's inner west. This one was spotted in Yurulbin Park, a small park on the harbour in Birchgrove.

Superb Parrot

Yesterday evening at Gundaroo NSW, this Superb Parrot was perfectly charming about having its photograph taken. I was able to creep in to about 5m. The tree is next to a house so maybe this parrot is very familiar with people.
 
I didn't realise how big Superb Parrots are and missed the tail.
